Columbus Urban League (CUL)

Building upon a long-time relationship, Stephanie Hightower sought our counsel almost immediately upon becoming the first female CEO of this century-old advocacy and service provider. We’ve played instrumental roles in her thought leadership, writing op-eds, speeches and presentations that earned attention and credibility from key public and private funders. We’ve also worked closely to cultivate key relationships with reporters and literally helped CUL generate or respond to hundreds of articles and editorials.

Stephanie’s authentic leadership moved her into selection as one of Columbus’s most influential voices while CUL has grown and thrived dramatically.

We’ve passed many milestones, raising $3 million in funds to convert an abandoned building into an economic development hub, hosting the National Urban League conference and adding more than $4 million to the local economy, converting to a front-line emergency service provider during COVID, becoming one of the select number of organizations to earn funding from MacKenzie Scott and Goldman Sachs, creating a premier annual event that sparks conversation, increases credibility and has tripled in revenues, launching a strong local communications campaign to provide hope and resources to deeply troubled communities, and now creating a laser focus on building wealth and connecting people to the high wage jobs of the future.

We’ve also worked closely to cultivate key relationships with reporters and literally helped generate or respond to hundreds of articles and editorials.
