Strategy to develop higher education leadership
Opportunity:
Providing strategic vision in partnership with the university to grow and expand the Women in Leadership (WiL) programming, including individualized coaching and more robust program facilitation in order to maximize impact for faculty and staff.
Strategy:
With regular and direct input from the steering committee and cohort leadership, as well as a campus-wide survey and individual interviews, we crafted a strategic plan determined to make Syracuse a pacesetter in developing women leaders in higher education. We’ve now updated and expanded the strategy and stepped into a program management role to ensure the highest quality programming and engagement across campus and beyond.
Outcomes :
“The insights Melinda and her team provided have significantly influenced our objectives and our strategies. She and her team also have been instrumental in ensuring that women’s voices were heard and now she and her team are working to better align our programming better with developing leaders’ needs. She’s also led cohort participants through core lessons on executive presence and self-awareness and directed one-on-one coaching sessions with some of our cohort graduates.”
